Retro Computing
I’ve been emulating and restoring retro systems from the 80s as a long term passion. This is an image of my current Batocera setup.
- Apple II+. I have original hardware, and a massive collection of emulated disks.
- Classic Macintosh systems. Original SE/30 era hardware and emulated hard drives.
- Windows 95 era, Win 3.1. Dosbox. Win XP is still my alltime favorite OS. Or maybe Slackware for how it changed everything...
- PlayStation (PSX, PS2). Complete systems.
This passion blends technology history with hands-on exploration.
Hobbies
Life Outside Work
Technology and Travel drive almost all my hobbies.
Homelab
I run a large homelab with self hosted solutions for storage (NextCloud), WordPress, Home Assistant and more.
Underlying platforms are all built on Proxmox and TrueNAS.
Travel
I've been almost everywhere other than Antarctica. Hiking addict, including Kilimanjaro, Everest, Bhutan, Inca Trial, Patagonia, Dolomites. My favorite place on planet earth by far is Thailand, from the food to the beaches to the people.
Scuba Diving
I've been diving almost as many places as I've traveled. Highlights are definitely Galapagos, Fiji, Barrier Reef
Skiing
Skiing is my number one favorite activity! From California to Switzerland.
